Take a peek inside:

Week 1

Introduction & Overview

This session will leave you with a solid roadmap of where we are going and what’s in store. This is a mandatory session as we will be reviewing the ‘house rules’ for group work and how to get the most out of the next 10 weeks.

Week 2

Bridging the Gap

Being authentic is not just saying what you think; it's knowing who you are. In this group session, our main objective is to begin the discovery, acknowledgement and expression of our genuine thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Once we know our true selves we can begin to  envision and move towards our ideal selves - the person we want to be. In this session, we help you identify the discrepancy between these two self states and begin the process of developing into our best selves.

Week 3

Becoming an Emotion Scientist

Emotion scientists are curious, inquisitive, and analytical. They are active listeners and focus on facts. In this group we learn to pause in order to observe, to ask questions, to really understand our own and others’ emotions. In today’s session we explore how emotions are information, distinguish between observing (like a scientist) and judging our emotions, and make the connections between brain, body, and emotions.

Week 4

The Pursuit of Perfection

Striving for flawlessness and setting excessively high performance standards can leave us feeling like we don’t measure up and make us more vulnerable to Imposter Syndrome. In this session we’ll explore the beliefs that you don't deserve to be where you are and the need to work to impossibly high standards while exploring how focusing on the process rather than the outcome can bolster our efforts, hard work and dedication which can lead to positive change.

Week 5

Performance Interfering Thoughts & Mindset

When our internal voice shifts to the inner critic, the fixed mindset persona has set in. You can hear this persona within the negative self-talk that happens in your thoughts and mind - self-sabotaging and/or self-doubting. Week 5 is about identifying our negative stories that our brains come up with as “truth” and learning to unhook, challenge and or/revise.

Week 6

Breaking the Rules

We all have rules by which we live our lives. You may not even be aware that over the years, you developed rules and that they guide your behaviour. These rules can be thought of as the outward expression of our internal narratives. In this week’s session we’ll begin to identify what unhelpful rules (eg., unrealistic, unreasonable, excessive, rigid, and unadaptable) you might have developed for yourself to live by and how we can modify them.

Week 7

Define Your Fears

Whether we think about them or not, fears will impact us and have the power to stop us from moving forward. By approaching what scares us, defining it, and facing it head on we dive deeper into understanding what is really going on. Week 7 is about approaching our goals with greater flexibility and persistence.

Week 8

Dream Realization

We all want to make our dreams come true and in Week 8 we will discover how we can move our dreams to action and actualize our potential. It’s a week about implementation and clear intentions that will help you stay moving in the right direction.

Week 9

Build your Immunity

Most of us have changes we’d like to make in our lives and despite concerted effort, we don’t get very far. Our resistance to change can be thought of as an immune system of sorts, with the purpose of protecting us from the potential “danger” that sudden changes can bring. This week we will start a process of self-examination that will help you identify and adjust assumptions that may be holding you back.

Week 10

Bringing it All Together

Our time together comes to an end this week! Let’s learn from one another about our key takeaways and set some goals to get in the spotlight!  Our group members share their final capstone projects and talk about their growth while participating in the group.
